Colin Quinn Unconstitutional, the new solo show written by and starring the popular comedian and SNL vet, will extend at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Initially set to close on July 23, Quinn's critically acclaimed evening will now play through August 8. After its off-Broadway run, the show will tour in the fall, travelling to the original 13 colonies.
Directed by Rebecca A. Trent, Colin Quinn Unconstitutional presents Quinn's unique perspective on the character of the nation, from predator drones to the Kardashians. The star pulls no punches in asking if this is what our founding fathers planned when they sat down in wigs and tights to create a country from scratch in 1787.
Colin Quinn Unconstitutional marks Quinn’s return to the New York stage following his appearance on Broadway in Long Story Short, which earned him a Drama Desk and Emmy Award nomination (the latter for a screen adaptation on HBO). His new show, which had a five-week run at the Barrow Street Theatre in May, features set design by James Fauvell, costume design by Alexis Forte and lighting design by Sarah Lurie.
